Sex in risky places is a huge turn on for us. The more public it is, the bigger the turn on. Usually if you decide to fuck in a car you are at risk of getting caught. You’ll park up somewhere and get down to business, all the while hoping no-one knocks on your window or catches you out. The latest driverless cars might just be changing the way we think about car sex.
Experts are saying that the arrival of driverless cars means we’ll see an increase in the number of people fucking behind the wheel. No hands will be needed to get to your destination, so what do this mean?
Sex in cars
People already have sex in cars as it is. They might go somewhere secluded in the hopes of getting off without being disturbed, since it is just for the two of them. Others may opt for somewhere a little more public, either in the hopes of getting caught or of having others join their fun. But it seems that driverless cars might change the future of vehicular sex.
A study from the Annals of Tourism Research addresses the topic of sex in autonomous cars. In this research, co-author Scott Cohen told us that “it’s only a natural conclusion that sex in autonomous vehicles will become a phenomenon“.
They believe that, without the need to be physically behind the wheel, passengers can have more space to do whatever they like. Naturally, most people are immediately thinking about all of the amazing and mindblowing sex they can have in a car that drives itself.
Why driverless cars are different
You’ll have probably heard stories about someone receiving head while driving. It sounds extremely thrilling until the car is suddenly hit and those teeth chomp together. Everyone cringes at the idea of this happening, especially because we were distracted by other things. Obviously, the fact that driverless cars control themselves removes this risk.
Another big selling point? The amount of space available. You won’t need uncomfortable seats to try and work around. You can make them incredibly luxurious spaces to be, which means no trying to work around the gear stick in an effort to fuck. Sounds pretty appealing to me!
The Washington Post talks about this issue, stating that “free of driver costs, companies could invest more in the customer experience. Interiors may become more spacious. Cabs could come with bedding or perhaps a massage chair, analysts forecast. Passengers might tap an iPad to hear Marvin Gaye”. Personally, Marvin Gaye isn’t really my thing, but the idea of sex in a car without worrying about driving is interesting.
The risks
Needless to say, there are still going to be risks associated with sex in a driverless car. We know from The Washington Post’s article that the safety standards for autonomous vehicles haven’t been set yet. Yes, this is even as some of the big names in car have created models heavily designed around this function.
Missy Cummings is a mechanical engineering professor at Duke University and reminds us that “if you’re doing particularly intense activities, you’re going to be at risk of unusual injuries”. I’m pretty sure that “particularly intense activities” include sex.
However, it is as of yet unclear what the safety measures might be. Some feel that it could just be being belted into the seat. However, some might suggest we need something more to avoid getting thrown around the vehicle. Plus, is it really safe to have sex in a moving vehicle? Do we care about safety in that situation?
The future of driverless cars
Sex in cars isn’t comfortable, but as Lola tells us in Kinky Boots: “sex shouldn’t be comfy!”. Sex in driverless cars might be another matter entirely. They may be more spacious, making them perfect for sex, and in theory you aren’t as likely to get into an accident because you’re removed human error.
However, we doubt that the laws would allow it. Are they really going to adjust them so that fucking in a moving vehicle is okay? I seriously doubt it, even though I am all for it.
