Every single year, many of us will make a New Year’s resolution. This resolution often involves actually going to the gym more, or eating better to try and live a healthy lifestyle. The problem is that, by mid-January, most of us have given up on our resolutions and gotten back into our old habits.
If you were looking for some motivation to keep up with your gym membership, then keep reading. We might have just the thing for you!
The gym helps your health
I’m one of those people who loves going to the gym. Yes, it’s tough at the time, but afterwards I am left feeling fantastic. I know that I have achieved more than I did at my last lesson, and this is great for my mental health. This isn’t the only benefit of regular exercise that you can enjoy.
Exercise can help to boost your mood and to reduce feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress. If you find that you have been feeling a little tense lately, hitting the gym can help. It gives you a way to work off that stress and tension you’ve been feeling. The release of endorphins that comes from exercise can also help to reduce your perception of pain, meaning that it is also good when you have a headache.
Another benefit is that it can help with your energy levels. If you continue to keep up with regular exercise for six weeks or more, it can help to reduce fatigue. You’ll find that you have more energy for a number of different things, whether it is just getting through your work day or impressing your partner in the bedroom. This, combined with strengthening your body and losing weight, makes exercise great for us!
Exercise for a better sex life!
Regular exercise can help you in a number of ways, such as keeping your body fit and healthy as well as your mind. However, it can also help to give you a better sex life if you put in the time at the gym. If you were looking for some motivation to keep up with your gym membership, this is the excuse you need!
Keeping up with the gym can help to increase your sexual satisfaction as well as function in the bedroom. For plenty of men, it works like a natural Viagra. One study found that the respondents reported lower erectile problems, so it can help you keep it up.
It can help to boost your desire for sex too, as you’ll find that you want it more. You’ll notice that you also feel sexier after working out at the gym… though you might not notice this during the workout when you are concentrating on getting the form right on the exercises. Plus, it can help to increase your endurance during sex.
The best exercises
There might be certain things that you find you struggle with during sex. For example, you might find that your endurance isn’t as good as you would like it to be, or that your legs start to ache more in certain positions. Perhaps you’d love to lift your partner and fuck them against the wall? Here are a few exercises you’ll want to put into your routine for a better sex life.
Push-ups are the obvious exercise for endurance in missionary position. This is pretty much the position you’ll adopt during sex, so doing reps will help with your overall strength. You can also alternate between wide armed press-ups and narrow for a little variety.
Need to build your leg strength? Why not try weighted squats or lunges? Grab a kettlebell and hold it firmly in front of you, then get into a squat position. Your knee shouldn’t move beyond your toes, as this can damage your knee joints. Instead, try to keep your lower leg straight while you lower your butt. It will really help.
For those eager to help with endurance, you can take up running. Studies have shown that long-distance runners have higher sex drives, and their endurance is fantastic! No, we aren’t suggesting you try to immediately run Dublin marathon… just that you add a run to your schedule. Plus, the change between strength exercises and cardio will do you the world of good.
Your New Year’s Resolution
