It is fair to say, 2016 has sucked for many of us. Brexit and an associated rise or racism, Trump getting the Presidency (though would the vile Hillary Clinton have been any better?) and an assortment of stars like Alan Rickman and Prince passing away. Orlando Nightclub Shooting – A World Mourns
Absolute devastation has hit not just the LGBTQ Community, but also the ‘free world’ at large. Early Sunday morning, at least 50 people were killed, and 50 more were wounded when a gunman opened fire, and took hostages at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. In what is being called, the ‘Worst shooting in the history of the United States,’ and the nation’s worst terrorist attack since 9/11; the ‘Land of the free’, and its homosexual citizens are feeling the effects of systematic prejudice, and home-grown terrorism.
