Looking through the news today, I came across a rather unpleasant story regarding sexual shenanigans at the Yarl’s Wood immigration centre in Bedfordshire.

Following a surprise by HM Chief Inspector of Prisons; Nick Hardwick, it was revealed that two members of staff had been sacked for having sex with a 23 year old Roma woman. Though no-one is arguing consent was not given, this can only be regarded as a complete breach of trust.

Mr Hardwick stated

“We were concerned to find that two staff had engaged in sexual activity with a female detainee, something that can never be less than abusive given the vulnerability of the detained population, and these staff have rightly been dismissed.”

To put in more simple terms, if a lady is in an emotional state, then she is ripe to be manipulated. The behaviour of the men concerned was disgraceful and we at Escort Ireland whole-heartedly agree with the decision to fire them.

A third member of staff was also fired for taking no action when the lady reported the three men. Once again we agree with this. This abuse of position and exploiting the vulnerable in society has to be dealt with firmly. A cover up, if that’s what it was, is also a disgrace.

This all goes to show that there are still many dodgy guys out there, and they come in all forms. Stories like this should remind women everywhere that they need to be vigilant, no matter what the circumstances.
