Man Rescued During Floods Sues Rescuers!

OK, this isn’t the usual adult news that the Escort Ireland blog is famed for bringing you, but my god, I really thought I had to bring this issue to your attention.

Roy Ortiz of Broomfield, Colo. was saved from a submerged car during heavy flooding in the area last September, but he’s now looking at suing his rescuers. Don’t worry, I couldn’t believe it either!

Ortiz’s lawyer, Ed Ferszt explains.

“Of course he was thankful because those divers did have a major role to play in saving his life that day. That doesn’t negate the fact that a mistake may have been made. I can understand why there’s a lot of furor over people thinking that he’s biting the hand that feeds. Does that mean that officers of North Metro Fire are above reproach?”

Well, erm, yes you ungrateful swine, they saved you from a watery grave!

Apparently, Mr Ortiz feels it shouldn’t have taken them two hours to rescue him. If I was him I would just be happy I was rescued at all!

According to his lawyer, they are doing this to protect Mr Ortiz’s rights.

“It’s unfortunate to have to try and cast liability and responsibility for this act of God on the men and women who risked their own lives,”

No shit sherlock!

Authorities Still Happy They Saved Him

Seemingly the North Metro Fire Department have a lot more good will than I would have.

Spokeswoman Sara Farris said they “certainly sympathize with what Mr. Ortiz had to go through.”

“I’m sure it was a traumatic experience for him,” she said. “Ultimately, we were just very grateful we were able to save his life that day.”

Well, that just goes to show these guys have more class that Mr Ortiz or his bloodsucking lawyer.

And we wonder why we live in a society where people aren’t rushing to help each other out?
