but and heres the part you dont get. There are so many aspects to sprinting ,as can be seen by the initial post, that the genetic disadvantage can be made up for.If what your saying is true then all of the best sprinters would be the tallest sprinters as well and that isnt the case except for Bolt.

The sprint between Ferdinand & Torres yesterday, and previously between Ferdinand & Bellamy, shows that being taller doesn't automatically mean you are faster.

I never said that its westie said that it was because that Bolt was taller and that he had a longer
stride he was faster, there is much more to Genetics than height, u have muscle mass, lung capacity
etc just to name a few.

Johnson was a way more explosive sprinter than Bolt but Bolt has a faster time. Why?His stride.no i know ppl are going to say i contradicted myself here but when someone comes along with genetics as an excuse and they use a guy 5 ft tall wanting to play basketball??????I mean common.Genetics do count and to most (who dont fall in the extreames of some of the egs that ppl use) genetics are nothing more than a bullshit excuse.Look at nicegirls.Using his low testosterone levels as an excuse.

they have being far better sprinters than Bolt.Between his stride and lean at the finish he gains a load.

Let me take a wild guess here. Would Ben Johnson be one of them.?

I'm just using height as the most visable example.........

Listen, your superman attitude is great, it really is, I believe it myself, everybody should. Everybody should believe that they can achieve anything, overcome any obstacle, be all they can be and more......
Sadly that just isn't the case where something like this is concerned..........

As I've said before, as an example, basketball players. Tall people make better basketball players because they are more physically suited to the sport, because of genetics........

Using a guy 5 ft as an example is sort if nonsense because how many guys are 5 ft?Now how many of these guys would develope an inclination to be serious of sport? Now how many of the few left will choose sprinting as their sport?

Tall ppl make better basketball players when it comes to a difference of a ft but when you have two guys, one 6-8 and the other 6-3 then the 6-3 guy will sabotage himself if he uses an excuse of genetics.
