I think they did try, it just didn't work for them, they couldn't do it. Unless there are obvious times players don't chase after the ball or do things right, I don't buy into the idea of trying or not trying. If those had been green/Irish shirts I'm sure a lot of people would be saying "they put their heart and soul into it, but it just wasn't to be", "tired legs did all they could" etc.

Bloody French, thank God there are out, the cheating bastartds. Ireland would never cheat like that. Ok so against Georgia when we were loosing 1 nil and we got a mysterious peno that we converted and ended up winning the game, but thats not the same is it, anyway thank God they are gone now, can watch the world cup without being reminded of their cheating exploits
