The trouble with this kind of law is at first they will need to enforce it so a few examples will promote panic I'm thinking. Anyways let's wait and see what happens. It's a sad day but we all knew that this was always going to be passed it was just a matter of time.
Envelopes and large amounts of money aren't an issue it's legal to be an escort now it's the client that's the criminal so high turnover is a definite no no this attracts attention and all the other things that most established girls do already. The proof is the advert on a directory I would highly advise escorts working under this law not to show their faces as in Sweden this is an ideal way to find and watch the person as well as those coming and going x
Will MISS you all... For those of you that will keep in touch you know how to do this.... Take Care Kisses Alyssa Jenkins xxxx

No bill published yet. The minister is just saying she thinks it would be a good thing if this law were brought in.

We also have a larger area to police, no money Garda with no overtime, smart thing is to watch how the nordie handle it before allowing the same car crash here, even lord marrow regonised trafficking is a small minority, the rest of k well Scotland rejected this, Nordie Ireland run by religious frantics at the best of times.
It will be. Year at least before any laws are really enforced if we go this route

All men are equal under the law will need to be removed form our constitution of course

Plus is payment just cash, or will drinks and dinner count?

They really don't have a clue and so blinded by the moral high ground it makes me ill.
I posted this before but this is the type of bullshit that allows politicians steer away and ignore the more important matters of trafficking and violence to make political gains for themselves with a soundbite rather than good legislation.. And ignore independent research i.e. the NI Report of last week.
If this goes ahead the industry will just morph to suit the climate and most likely become a little more unsafe for all as it descends into the realms of criminality.
Are the police and garda such fools that they can't properly advise the politicians that the "Irish" scene is probably one of the best and most benign independent models around. Escorts seem to have good relations with the cops and are safer for it and the internal escort network is a good one. Plus I imagine that the police would prefer to use a trusted network as a resource and weed out the violent and dangerous pricks.

I am so sick of politicians telling me what I can and can't do..knowing full well that they are self serving idiots who don't give a damn.

I know nothing about the NI legal system. What time frame are we looking at for this bill to become law? Weeks? Months?

Did the UUP vote against this bill?
