I replied
Yes Sweetie and sent her €100 with Revolut


A few days later
She texts
Hi baby can I borrow €25 to pay the electricity

I replied
Yes Sweetie and sent her €25

This happened a few times.

She borrowed money on a Thursday, and the next day I sent a text.
Hey Sweetie, I am €20 short for an hour appointment. Can I still come?

Oh baby, she replied.

What does "oh baby" mean? Sounds like no.

I don't do discount

But I already gave it to you and more.

No discount baby.




So no visit.

I'm honestly confused. I won't visit now on principle.

I just can't get my head around her stubbornness.

Perhaps it might have been better to be clear when you sent the first 100... to tell her: "I can certainly give you 100 euros, and next time I visit, we'll deduct them from your fee. Or, I can prepay you in advance for an hour booking or 30-minute booking, etc." This way, it's clear for her that they are not a gift, and you know that there won't be any confusion. Sometimes giving, gifting, lending (she says to lend her, from what I understand) doesn't get confused with donation.
