This man has to come to terms for the rest of his life that he a figure of disgust, he is basically a piece of shit,
he may eventually even start to feel some guilt that he took the life of a beautiful young woman,
how ever long he lives, a life of imprisonment, solitude, guilt and loneliness will occupy ever second of his being,
While Ive never harmed anyone, I did something wrong back 16 years ago and I lost my very close group of friends over it. I still recall the loneliness of being on my own for a couple of years after that and I would not wish that feeling on anyone.
In that sense, bizarrely I have some empathy for this man- he has effectively thrown his life away and now has no one in his corner,
can the man ever feel a positive thought again ever experience joy or a kind word from anyone again,
the pain of complete loneliness is a terrible thing,
In the future if this man wanted someone to speak too, if he expressed his sorrow for what he did, as a random stranger I would be prepared to meet him for a drink,
My point is that forgiveness is also something which someone is entitled too.
I hope he does the honourable thing and kills himself.
