Yea i agree. At least six weeks before we get this under control and even then, once you open up the country again, it will just return.

China is only letting in some people from other countries how. That might not even be enough. Osterholm predicted that once the trains and buses are full again with people they will have another outbreak.

It could be christmas before we see the light. And even then there will be a bad recession for a few years because of this.

I hope you're wrong, time will tell.
We have two lives , the second begins when we realise we only have one .....

Doesn't help when you have scumbags going around spitting and coughing on people threatening them with coronavirus, a group of scumbags blocking a nurse when she was going for a jog threatening and harassing her. I don't think this lockdown by consent works, need coercion.

I hope i am wrong. One thing i can say and a neighbour was saying this to me as well is that we should take advantage of the fact that we are an island. So just ground all flights for a while. only let the trucks and planes carrying goods in. Nobody is going on holidays to Alicante until next year at best.

We could contain it like that to a degree. But we have to worry about Northern ireland then as well.

Funny thing i have a relative who has a house in spain and he fully expects to be going over there in the summer. Doubtful, in that i mean is a 100% certainty that he wont be.

I would say Ruhama must be loving this in ways. All escorting all over Europe is going to take a hit.

There are check points manned by the Garda in my part of the country this evening, they asking why are you on the road and they say that from Monday you will letter from your employer to go to work if your job is regarded as essential
On BBC news this that the English government say that they expect in excess of 20,000 UK citizens dead before the end of the year due to the virus

I expect lockdown in Ireland to run into November of this year
