Is spontaneous sex always better?

I spend a lot of my time talking about sex, and last night was no different. Ended up having a very long discussion with my house mate about sex, and whether spontaneous sex is always better.

She believes that it is. She thinks that planning sex can ruin the fun, and that you should only plan sex when you are doing something specific in the session. For example, role play or BDSM.

I'm a bit more on the fence. Yes, spontaneous sex can be fun, but planned sex can be just as good... and sometimes it can be better. At least, that's my opinion.

I figured that there was nowhere better to ask than right here.

Do you prefer one over the other, or are you on the fence like me?

(If you've never tried scheduled sex before, I'd recommend it. It's easy to do once you know how! You might just surprise yourself too with how much fun it can be)
