    Yes, I see that and this is why I replied as I did - I don't recall this when I was growing up.

    Perhaps it was the case in the 50s and 60s but I can't say it was a major factor in the 80s or 90s for me. Perhaps where I lived had something to do with it and this is why I asked Sherry where she noticed that guys seemed more shy than others.
