Seriously? So no effect on our lives at all? The fact that we are going to be in more danger? The fact that we could find ourselves kicked out of our homes, even if we don't work from the property? The fact that once one of our clients has been fined we will be linked to them and likely be avoided or worse still named? Sex Workers sharing will still be working illegally, so pressure is added to them. Street work will still be illegal etc.
We could also be asked to give evidence against our clients in court if they refuse to pay the fine. It will be almost impossible to have any privacy and it is possible that Joe Bloggs is encouraged to report us, which will make working impossible without putting our clients at risk.
I may be English, but I don't want to work there. My family are there and I couldn't cope with the lies and the deceit or the worry that someone may 'out' me, as I don't think my Mum could cope and I certainly wouldn't want her subjected to the stigma attached with association. Ireland suits me, as It's like being home with less of the worry. I'm not sure there is any other Country I would want to work in, plus it may interfere with my studies, which I've got a couple of years left to go with, so I'd rather continue with getting my qualification if that is all the same with you?
Lastly, I may be okay and I personally maybe able to ride the storm, as my situation allows it, but others are not in the same situation and sometimes you have to look beyond yourself and how things change your own life.
