The thread is meant to be about 'True Independent Escorts' and when people have said that they don't consider Agency Escorts to be Truely Independent the shit hit the fan and alsorts of accusations were being made. The point is clear that anyone who works for an Agency is under their wing and therefore is NOT 'Truely Independent'.

If she is employing them directly and she pays them a set amount per day, not per call or by how many clients she sees then yes she is still Independent. Like Heather said in an earlier post, there is no reason why an Independent can't employ a maid to take care of the phone for her.

However, another bug bear for me and I think for many clients, is when someone with good English is employed to pretend to be the Escort and passes themself off as the Escort during the conversation on the phone. This is wrong and should not happen. It should be explained on the phone that the lady they are arranging to meet has little English, but is working of her own free will. That way the client can decide if this is important to them or not.

You are correct in what you say ! The same also goes for most Escorts who travel to Ireland and tour for a number of weeks at a time. Some of them have perfect English, advertise 24 hrs, meet as many clients as possible in order to make as much money as possible in as short a time.

Kate, I think you are tarring everyone with the same brush, which is exactly way this stigma remains. May I ask, have you worked in a country as an escort where you cannot speak the native language, and if so, how did you manage?

I do know of some independents that pay for help or services (taking calls or setting up their websites for example). Does this make them non-independent? We have also established that in most cases, agencies don't 'force' escorts into the job.
