I have not posted on the General Chat before but feel compelled to post after my last 4 week tour. I have not experienced anything like this in the 30 months I have been working over here as an escort.
I realise that the recession has taken its toll with people's disposable income and therefore their ability to punt on a regular basis but does this really mean that people now act without common courtesy?

I have had my set pattern of places to visit and enjoyed the company of genuine and lovely irish gentlemen. This month there have been places where a large number of people have booked appointments with me and not shown up and even worse walked in and then back out without the courtesy of an explanation or follow up phone call. I would never treat a client in this way and do not expect to be treated like this - what is happening to the standard of common courtesy and ethics within this country?

There are a couple of venues I visited which I will not be going back to until sometime in the middle of next year and I have to ask if you, the clients want quality escorts to migrate and work in other countries and not visit Ireland? I know of half a dozen in the last month who have thrown in the towel retired, got normal jobs or just decided to tour other countries and give Ireland a wide berth.

I am going to give it until after Christmas and unless things improve significantly will have to rethink - for all those lovely and genuine clients who visit me on a regular basis - a great big thank you because without you I would have given up some weeks ago.

For all those out there who book appointments and fail to turn up - I have to ask would you like girls to accept your appointments and let you drive an hour or so and then not pick up.

I think it's terrible for a Punter to call, book, confirm & then NoT bother to turn-up!
Something can of course come-up preventing a booking to go ahead, but how hard is it to send a Cancelation text accompanied by an a apology! I know I've had to cancel once or twice, but I always contact the Escort, give a brief explanation and apology!

Abigail. I'm pretty new on here but all I seem to be hearing is similar stories to yours. Maybe it is the recession with too many men hanging around with nothing to do . It still does not account for the lack of common courtesy being shown by these w......rs. I suppose you could try a more rigourous vetting procedure on the phone .Some people have the knack of spotting messers by their phone manner. Are the troublesome ones all Paddies or a mixture ? Dont be afraid to name and shame the offending towns.

It's happening across all service industries, not just escorting. People are shopping around more, trying to get a better deal and finally thinking long and hard before they part with their cash. If every one came into my business that said that they were, I'd need premises the size of an airport. I had to get a separate phone for business because people think nothing of phoning me at 1:00 in the morning ( or night as it really is ) and I'm not an emergency service.

I think the trend has always been there, but it's just been exacerbated by the recession. The Celtic Tiger made us into spoiled brats, and there have been lots of aspects of common decency which have been lost due to the influx of easy credit. In short, we got too much money too quickly, and didn't know how to handle it.

I've come across this in all walks of life in this country. Personally, I have had to cancel on a couple of occasions, and have always at least texted if not rung the escort beforehand. It's just common courtesy, but it seems that this kind of courtesy is too 'common' for some people. At least you can bear in mind that it's something that the genuine punters dislike also, as it gives us a bad name.

I find any kind of disrespectful behaviour abhorrent, no matter who the source is.

Thanks to all that replied. We all know that the cash is hard earnt and this is why I always say to clients that this is a treat, something to look forward to and savour afterwards. Derry Lad we have no problem with people thinking long and hard about where you spend your cash - we all shop around for value, shop around by all means, but don't make an appointment you have no intention of keeping, you know when you look at someone's profile the price they charge so what makes the punter now think that you will offer the same amount of time for half price?

I travel from the UK and the street girls in the UK charge £40-£50 for a quickie down an alley or in the car, they have nowhere inbetween sessions to clean themselves and I am sure the same applies here in Ireland. The current trend here is that 50 euros the equivalent of £40 you are expecting to visit someone in a clean, smart apartment and stay for 20-30 minutes - please remember that we have to pay travel expenses to come to your Country and rental of the apartment (which has not decreased since the recession).

All escorts are used to those who book appointments and not show but I have had days on this tour with more than 6 in a day. I have no problem at all with someone having to cancel a simple text saying can't make it is sufficient.

I had a client ring yesterday who I see for a quickie, I generally don't do quickies because I hate having to watch the clock and in the most instances it is the case that clients want to pay for a quickie but really want a longy along with a shower before and after WTH! He asked if I could do it cheaper - please don't insult us. Less than 50 euros really is street prices!

You have to be realistic about prices and services, I read a bad review for a girl who had obviously agreed to do half an hour for 40 euros with a previous client - he then had the cheek to say she was less than enthusiastic. Please note my comment about street prices!
