    Cormac McCarthy "Blood Meridian" Mezmerising....

Dan Simmons "Ilium" The best contemporary Sci/fi at the moment end of fucken story

Keef Richards book is a good read - thank Anita!

I should mention 'Breaking Vegas' by Ben Mezrich as an easy non-fiction thriller. Unputdownable! Is that a real word?
Normally I wouldn't worry too much about using words that aren't in the dictionary when posting here, but those days are over judging by the literary knowledge of the contributors to this thread.

We should form a book club. We could retain our anonymity amongst fellow punters, by using Ciara, Jessie and Lucy as 'libraries'. Pay them a visit, leave a book, pick up another. Have a book review as your chat line when getting dressed instead of the usual stuff about how long they've been here.

We could give it a campaign name of 'have a ride and a read'!

Anyone suggesting alternative campaign names, rhyming book with another four letter word will be considered to be lowering the tone!!

I like Derren Brown and thought his views might be interesting, but fuck me, he is seriously up his own arse and the book is crap.

Might nip out later and buy another.

Anyone get any good books they'd recommend?

Well done for spotting the loophole in the tone-lowering guidelines :-)

I'd just like to also ban any naming suggestions for an annual shortlist and prize for the best book, rhyming with 'Booker' !

Just book recommendations from here on !
