I wish you'd all shut up about it. The man is dead and instead everyone's bitching about whether some people's opinions on him are valid because they're negative.

So if you had a friend (it might even be true) and his brother died, and although he was a good friend, you always thought his brother was an arsehole. Would you go to the funeral to tell him his brother was an arsehole or would you just keep that opinion to yourself out of respect???

By the way, you say the waiting room of life so there shouldnt be any reason to question it then should there but only to make the most of it.

What the media won't emphasize even though they should it that this is due to the extremely dangerous weight-loss medication that Gerry Ryan was taking..... The drug has been notorious for causing strokes, heart problems and sudden death. It's one of the most dangerous medications out there... it's banned in the EU now:

Sibutramine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They talk about 10% vs 11.4%... but those numbers are just what they're showing, in reality it's probably a lot worse than even that. There aren't much worse side-effects than "sudden death"!!!!

Even if it turns out that Gerry Ryan was apparently not on reductil at the time (he could very well have been taking it in secret, he was promoting the pill on his radio show for a long time), it could have caused permanent damage or a mini-stroke that only took its toll now. He spoke a lot about the side effects it had. He could also have been taking all sorts of other medications, weight loss pills etc. and an alcohol binge to finish him off.

People don't just drop dead in their 50s, not unless there is something extremely wrong with their lifestyles or they have taken something really dangerous.

After Googling "Gerry Ryan Arsehole" and viewing Face-book, I conclude that Westies view of the said deceased is almost complimentary.
Some of the vitriolic comments about GR prove to me that RTE do take the piss when it comes to providing the license paying public with value for money presentations.

Are you a doctor now? Unfortunatly some people do die early due to natural causes. Looka at your man Steven Gately and some of the numerous footballers who have died as a result of sudden death syndrome

In the case of an organ failure its very rare. When a bodies organ packs in at an earlish age its nearly always due to some form of usage whether drink ,drugs or whatever.

Most of the football cases ,in my opinion anyway, was heart failure brought on by severe dehydration.
