I have no moral problem with prostitution or the idea that I pay for sex. But lately I’ve become a bit suspicious again about the advertising on EI and the actual reality of meeting an escort. I usually peruse the ads (profile) of the escorts to make a choice to meet. I have a number of criteria that I personally always try to stick to. Appearance, age (30 or over for me, I want to be pretty sure the lady is mature enough to make her own decisions), offer of services, reviews and most importantly if the lady in question is independent. The last criterium is important to me because I find it important to know whether the money I pay the lady actually all goes to her, every penny of it.
I do not want a serious proportion of that money going to either, madams, agents, of human traffickers.

I think on the whole 90% of the ladies I visit are independent. ( they may have a boyfriend, but that’s their business) but lately I had at least three occasions where I arranged a meeting with a person on the phone with perfect English ( albeit with an accent. And since I’m not Irish myself I recognise a significant amount of accents. German, Russian, Spanish Italian American etc.) and then when you actually meet the lady on location they can hardly string a sentence together. This makes me suspicious that there are agents or worse active arranging appointments and of course they don’t do that for nothing. Now it’s perfectly possible that the girl has someone who speaks better English and whom she trusts to arrange appointments for her and that would be fine. But I have my suspicions that this is not the case. And again I have a serious problem with contributing to criminals who are abusing vulnerable women.

While the OP makes some valid points quite a few Non English speaking ladies will use services of an operator / receptionist for translation and directions. Operator might provide translation / reception for more than one lady. The ladies often switch to using Wats App translation if they’ve met you once.

I have to be honest and say I am not really happy with this thread at all.
While on the one hand I agree I would want all the money I pay to go directly to the escort, I don't believe I have visited anyone who is forced to be there.
It's agruable that how do we know, the reality is we don't, but I don't subscribe to no English or under 30 and she must be trafficked.
I think this just damages the ability of the genuine younger escorts who want to earn some money.

I will always remember one girl telling me how her brother was selling drugs. The police took the drugs, but he still owed the money for them.
They broke his legs and threatened to kill him if the money wasn't paid.
That's how she got into the business, she wanted to help her brother.
She was clearly coerced, although she made the decision to do this work to earn the money, so it's arguable she wasn't.

And what about the extortionate rent the escorts pay? It's arguable the "landlord" is providing a service and wants to be paid for their risk and trouble.

My own belief is the girls providing a phone answering service are providing a service, they are not pimps.
The "landlords" are providing accomodation.

You know the quickest way of sorting all this out? Legalise it.
Then accomodation would be available at normal rates, phone answering is phone answering, and advertising is advertising.
Boyfriends are boyfriends.

Many of these ladies just provide for themselves and their families, and I don't think are helped by speculation and well meaning but misguided good intentions

I suppose this is where the lines might get blurred. We are a small country and the vast majority of the escorts visiting here are from other countries and therefore it is difficult to see how they could tour here without availing of a support structure. There should be a big difference however between that scenario and one where individuals are forced to become escorts and do so under fear from criminal gangs. I have not come across this to my knowledge but if it exists then it should be reported straight away to the authorities. We should be aware of any significant markers for such a scenario.
