I am obviously not making my point very well and my little segue into the actual experience added nothing more than a cautionary tale.

If I was advertising myself as a service provider I would of course try to paint myself in the best possible light especially with all the other options available to the punter.

My point was this was almost certainly not the woman in the picture. Not even 20 years ago. It’s caveat emptor at that point and I could have easily walked away. Fir the record I didn’t give off any negative vibes as far as I know and I didn’t ask a single question about her profile.

Two other ladies I visited within last 12 months (both had reviews open at time) had verified pictures. They were obviously in both cases the same person but the pictures were I would say in one case at least a decade out of date and the second maybe 15 to 20 years out of date. They did not look like the person in photos to any real extent. I reviewed one and noted my comments about the pictures/age . I had an enjoyable enough time and stated the same however. She opted out subsequently to a ooorer review. The Second Lady I didn’t get a chance to review as she turned off. I would have given a “jury’s out” verdict if given a chance but my comments on discrepancy would have been there to see.

I can see the argument totally from the providers point of view of not being completely upfront with pictures. It is a tough business I suspect where you are not as young as the competition or maybe might view yourself not as attractive as you once were. I probably would not have visited either if the pictures had been up to date even though one was actually quite enjoyable and a nice friendly lady to boot.

I think the client needs to take some responsibility to do some research and use some common sense as mentioned when parting with their hard earned. I did neither in the case I mentioned but I arrived at that point in the first place due to placing far too much faith in the verified pictures.

I appreciate it’s not a perfect system. I also appreciate that no one in EI is actively seeking to mislead anyone with the picture process. It’s a better system than many but I think clients should be aware of the limitations of the system and not place too much faith in pictures until backed up by on the spot observations by reviewers so to speak.

Wow I figured out the quotes thing!

I only see Asian ladies. There are 57 Asian profiles as of today. 1 is verified age. A nice TV lady that I would not be interested in personally seeing.

I'm not hung up on age in the slightest for the record. I have also learned to add 5 to 7 years to the age of any Asian profile under 30 and 7 to 12 over 30. There isn't I think a single Asian profile over 35 as stated age. A 20 plus year gap between stated age and actual age (at a minimum) is taking the proverbial biscuit however.

I've no interest in knowing an escort's age. It plays almost no part in my consideration of whether I will visit someone.

In my experience the verified tag has been correct often enough for me to find it credible

and asked for your input based on your post as to how you might perceive the site might perfect an imperfect system

The verified photo process, explained by SarahBarra seems fine to me.

Reviews need tweaking.

I think E-I should employ a dedicated reviews moderator.
For each review that is submitted for an escort she should be contacted and without divulging whether the review is positive or negative she is asked:

1/ A review was submitted for you at such a time, did that appointment take place?

2/ Were there any issues with the client?

3/ How would you rate the client using 5 stars in terms of

(a) hygiene
(b) sober
(c) manners and pleasant company
(d) ease of payment
(e) Any other issues

The escort responds, if she says the appointment went ahead, the review is published and the client receives a rating also. Over time this rating builds up an average the same as currently happens for escorts.

If it turns out to be a negative review, the escort has a chance to respond, but any claims of drunk or unhygienic, rude behaviour may seem either to contradict or align with a client's rating.
Escorts and clients with a certain number ilof reviews would be able to see each reviewers overall ratings, same as we can now for escorts

EI doesn't ask advertisers to send naked pictures of themselves for inspection. Verification is advertisers sending a picture of their clothed self holding their passport and a sheet paper marked Escort Ireland with the days date along with a short video of same (where the passport is moving). They don't count rolls and wrinkles.

It's a good idea. I know its a very different thing, but taxi apps like uber and freenow have a customer rating. It's a great feature I think
