€53m. Wow. So much could have been done with that money. So so so much.

We mentioned Johanna Dennehy in the UK earlier, she targeted men and on the day of her arrest, a few hours after she had stabbed two random men, she is seen on camera flirting with the police officers. It was said she loved to have control over men.

Her legal team advised her to plead not guilty and go to trial, she agreed with them, so they put in months of work to prepare for trial. On the first day of the trial, after the jury had been selected and sworn in, she was asked by the Judge how she pleaded as is standard and to the absolute shock of her legal team and the entire Court she responds “guilty”. They
Said it was her last chance to control and cause upset for men!!!!!
It would not take a lot to convince me that the entire goal and purpose of the criminal justice system is to make money for lawyers.

I'm from and live in Tullamore. I will never ever forget that day. The sirens and blue lights, I knew there was something serious after happening. Then about an hour later getting that news notification on my phone. I think of Aisling and her poor family every day, her boyfriend, work colleagues and beloved little pupils in Durrow school. I hope he never sees the light of day again and like others have said, I hope he meets real justice once inside.

Very harrowing for the community to have such a horrific incident happen, I’m sure she was so loved as a teacher, her poor little pupils indeed and their parents trying to explain it all. My heart is broken following the trial, I can’t imagine how her parents and loved ones are sitting through it. I’m spiritual and I believe that we get back what we give out in life but how can such a wholesome young lady who contributed to society in so many great ways be met with such a horrific fate? Heartbreaking.

the one thing that always moves me is violence towards women,

this was the horror story of all horror stories,

those beautiful photos and to think her life was taken away just as it was starting really , and I can think of about ten similar cases that spring to mind,

ultimately the perpetrators throw away their own lives too.

A dream Ive always had, but it is looking unlikely to ever happen, is to have a daughter- at least I wont have the worry of something terrible occurring.
A dangerous weakness of mine- "an attraction for fast women and slow horses"

Interesting to listen to some of the details in recent days. Especially of him admitting to it and begging forgiveness to he completely denied any knowledge of the murder. And saying anything he previously said was because of medication he received in the hospital.

Ya I've been taking an interest in it aswell. I suppose like so many other people. But like they have his dna on her body. Dna is fact and there is no way of getting out of that. He is going down for a very long time

That’s at the suggestion of his defence (that the medication may have caused his confession) in an attempt to cause the jury to doubt his guilt.

I wonder if he has previous for violent behaviour, like what on earth possessed him to do this.

There’s plenty of evidence to prove beyond doubt that it was him, plus the lenghts he went to in attempting to avoid detection. Imagine her family and loved ones having to sit in Court every day, let stemming to this, looking at him, such torture

I wonder what was his motive, robbery or rape? Also what about the knife, any mention of that or was that ever recovered?
