    Default Cork, Are Ye ok??

It’s no secret that Cork city is one of my favourite places to visit and work, heartbreaking to see on the news the destruction the floods have caused.

Why does Cork always seem to get hit so badly with flooding, is it infrastructure needing upgrading or what?

I stopped watching the news. Just had a look. So so many houses flooded. And so close to Christmas. Hope they get financial help to sort it out before then coz even if ensured... I'm not gonna ad insurance brokers to the things that are triggering me this week

I love Cork and the people.
Every time it gets flooded the TD's promise money to fix it but they never do yet they can find money for the handouts in other areas.....ahhh don't get me started

Oh it’s very hard going lately with the atrocities in Israel and the Aisling Murphy trial

My heart breaks by anyone affected by flooding, I know someone it affected some years back and you can’t even begin to imagine the extent of the damage it causes, it took well over a year to get the premises back to a decent condition.

Davina, I won’t be able to answer you here until I update my tour later but I’ll text u xx

it's down to poor management and a complete lack of upgrading of infrastructure needed to tackle the extreme weather we are getting now/ Sandbags are cheaper than actual sustainable ideas/. its the equivalent of wearing a snorkel while being bollock naked in a monsoon thats whats in place

Cork need the Healy Rees on their side, they'll get a few bob for flood prevention.

Seriously though I hope everyone here from Cork are ok. Seen the news last night in Middleton and Christ that is a mess.

Haven’t sat down in 2 days. Thankfully minimal harm done down my way thanks to super fast reacting and supportive neighbours. Road is in bits though.

If ever there was a Friday for a massage and some relaxing downtime, tomorrow is it!
