I think there's probably a few overly harsh replies in this thread.

I've had it happen where I didn't have the exact change and had too much , when handing over to the lady I said 'sorry I didn't get a chance to change the 50s' this let her know I was expecting change. If you just hand over the cash and don't make reference to it I can understand why a lady might assume you weren't expecting anything back. I think that most people would agree that's a fair assumption and if you consider it yourself , you could probably agree with it to an extent Tony. Particularly after many regular visits she could have considered it a genuine tip.

Now after having the discussion over it , for her to then do it again , that's a different story imo. That's poor form and I can understand where you are coming from with your frustrations - especially considering the amount of business you had brought her way. However I can't imagine you're going to get much sympathy from anyone over it - fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me - and all .

It was annoying me on Wednesday so when she asked if I was visiting today, I said no because she didn't offer me my change.
Oh I'll give it back next time, so ok.

Yesterday I went again with €100, again no change.
I said I found this no change thing annoying, and I got an argument that I could start paying her €100.
So everyone else pays €80 and I pay €100.

Well, I am definitely annoyed now. I'm not going there again.
