I think you are all getting hung up on where the information is held... forget that for a minute... what I wondered was if so and why you feel so protective over your privacy? Is it more important than a sex workers safety ??

Why do we want to protect our privacy?, seriously?, sure what has a married guy got to lose by being outed as a guy who sees escorts?, the question you posed was would I stop punting before I handed it over and the answers is yes

In the current climate I appreciate how we all wish to protect our privacy and private lives and whilst we want discretion we either as a worker or client give a little bit away during a booking...phone number, face, car, address, etc

The more comfortable we feel with the person generally shapes the amount of personal information shared

How would you feel as a client if you had to provide say your passport or driving licence to book a session as a countrywide initiative for sex worker safety ... would you still punt? Would you think your privacy is more important than the workers safety ?

I'm just interested in how both clients and workers feel

As much as I appreciate the job.

If it came down to the safety of a lady or my relationship / family. I'm picking my family.

Sorry if that's inconsiderate but if roles were reversed and the lady had a choice to make that benefited her family or personal life over my safety - I'm sure I'd know their choice.

I think bad person who has bad intention could send you fake driving licence or whatever you ask…

But i think every new client should send a reference automatically and ladies should be helpfull each other later with it. Iam always happy to give a refence if other lady ask me.

I appreciate a client's privacy and understand the relationship and family issues ... the purpose of this thread is to try and open the community's eyes to both sides following yet another death of a girl barely at the beginning of her life attacked so viciously but his privacy is sorted .. great ... no it's not something has to change ... databases do affect how people behave because they are not anonymous therefore accountable... nutters may never change but st least they will be identifiable

I wouldn't be comfortable sharing personal information with a lady I've never met before. No problem with ladies I know well.

I'd have no problem with someone I haven't met contacting other escorts I've met for a reference or paying a deposit in advance.

Going in circles here, if a guy gives up his info then how can you say there’s zero risk to him, the chance might be small but it’s never zero, it’s closer to zero if he keeps the info to himself

Even for safety if your information was guaranteed discretion say on for example an EI database? The workers don't get your details but they get assurance that who you are is known by a regulatory or safety body?
