How much time/money do you spend on your “hobby”

How do you recharge your battery?

We live in difficult times, financially and time wise but what is life without fun.

We all need a hobby, golf, fishing, sports, Netflix, wine, pleasure of a visceral nature, etc. we do it for fun, mastery etc…

How much time, effort, and money do you spend on it.

Is it what you live for or something that reduces stress and gives you balance.

All work and no fun makes jack a dull boy….

As the saying goes do you live to eat or eat to live?

For me the rule of thumb for “optional” spend and fun be it a drink, eating out, holidays, etc etc

is 20-30% but it’s not fixed withe the rising cost of living.

When I tell people I am a terrible Introvert , I usually get incredulous looks ,

because I am so outgoing and chatty and Love company , love social ( and sexy ) interaction !

But also I give so much of myself , that after some time I feel mentally emotionally drained ,

and that’s when I need Self Care : for me it’s taking time off from people , spending time

on my own : Blessed Solitude 😇 !!

Nature , animals , quiet x

And once I’m recharged , I am rearing to Go : throw myself into Life once again ,

see and be seen , so much goodness in my heart , so much hunger in my mind , in my body !

Hobby and work bleed into one another so the cost is offset, the constant change does keep me sane and avoids burnout.

But time investment would be anywhere from 6-10 hours a day.

It requires a good amount of thinking.

I recharge with walks, and hiking, I feel really good during and after a trail in the woods or in a park.
I like some private time for reading or listening to music. Music is the second best thing to help me put my ideas and feelings back in the correct place.
During the hectic day to day, I unfortunately find rescue in comfort food, I try to avoid junkies, buy the sweet tooth is strong. It's a terrible habit I'm fighting to improve.

I never planned going out with escorts, actually I just started recently, 5y or so.
For some time I saw that as a high prize for myself, I tried to go for it as a personal celebration of something really important or nice. I usually met with someone once or twice a year, so I was very selective to ensure a good experience.

Overtime, I discovered and tried things I would never dream about in my past relationships.
I was caught by the adventurous spirit, in each visit, person I meet with, I'm keen to find something new.

Financially speaking I try to be cautious and just plan ahead, I'd never compromise my budget to go out with someone, at least not yet lol
Rule of thumb: 50/30/20
50% expenses
30% leisure/self-developing
20% savings/investing

I also consider planning and budgeting ahead because I don't like short sessions, 30min with someone would never work for me. Sounds silly, but I can't enjoy as much with someone I just met.
So I try to do my homework discussing and discovering about the next encounter, then having a great start, I feel it's particular important that lady who spent time with me enjoy as much, so I try to match up to their bar.
It gets me pissed to meet someone who lacks interest in the situation/encounter, but sometimes... It is what it is.

I also live a particular low profile life, no luxury, no high spending. So my expensive leisure/pleasure is travelling or meeting with ladies.

As I try to know more about myself and I learn about solitude, the more comfortable I feel.

I started seeing girls in 1993. I saw someone roughly once a month (sometimes twice) every month give or take up until 2017 (there was 2 yrs in between when I didn't see anyone. I spent €400 per month and sometimes more. I've had some overnights and weekends with two particular ladies, English Sarah & Sweet Cherri (ah the memories) 😀 and also saw two girls in Austrslia. I've calculated roughly that I've spent over €100,000 on my hobby in all those yrs and it's probably more.
