With the spate of arrests under Operation Quest last year, AFAIK we have heard nothing in relation to prosecutions under that!
If you are not caught in bed with an escort while in a state of arousal or you blab your mouth off to the pigs, how can you possibly be prosecuted?
They may put pressure on the lady to inform, if she does, then you can have her called to your hearing and if she doesn't turn up, there's absolutely no case!
    Ride them on the beaches!

Can somebody with knowledge of the law confirm this is the case/ a possibility, it sounds insane beyond belief!
No. That is if you believe our magical Citizens Information site (https://www.citizensinformation.ie/e...er.html#l1f4da).

A lot of arrests last year and clients awaiting and there are cases sadly as SW's are being given a lifeline by police not to be prosecuted themselves if they cooperate and its no brainier, she don't have to turn up in court really, all she needs to do is give and sign a statement. These tactics are wrong and don't agree with them at all but its all about getting results and when was it fair.

Thats right - no risk, no fun.
I heard the news, and it was reported that there are three convictions in the Republic and three up North. While the convictions in NI had almost nothing to do with seeing an escort, the situation could be different in ROI. A man from Meath was convicted, and he had to pay 200 quid. Garda spoke to almost 100 man in Ireland in 2019 on suspicion of paying for sex. Only a couple of files were sent on. Dr. Shannon s report stated that 13 man ( I guess ) might or might not await prosecution and/or conviction.
My point is - if a lady obeys the rules (eg. working alone) the police could leave her ( and her clients ) alone as they would rather focus on brothels or clients who pay trafficked girls...? The police knows in most of the cases where the independent ladies work, don't they?

PM me if you want to know more on it Cherry and you get red bars when people don't want to hear it but its very true, Certainly not against clients as one myself and not escorts either but why say that when people point out what is happening and is it really a surprise, no. We do all know the law but the law although law is not always fair. We were asked our opinion and we are giving it, that's all
