    Default Barry Cowen sacked

Barry Cowen has been sacked as Agriculture Minister tonight after just over 2 weeks in the post due to the controversy surrounding his drink driving conviction. Looks like the Cowen family political curse is continuing after the way his brother`s time as Taoiseach came to an end in 2011.
    The Truth is out there.

Sacked over a storm in a teacup that the Taoiseach did not have the moral courage to withstand. It was not the drink driving; it was the political storm around it.

It did seem like a very small issue to be sacked over, don’t think it makes mehole look very decisive, he’s going to look even worse when he gives Dara Collery the job, the man he ignored and threw the whip job at to keep him quiet and on the basis that he “really really needed” him in that post. Typical FF, twisting and turning with the wind

all politics is local so I'd assume he'll do well in the election that's odds on before Christmas

The worst thing you can do in any job is to annoy or embarrass your boss.

In the old days of FF this drink driving and licence issue would all be resolved and swept under the carpet. No one would know a thing about it. Their standards are slipping 😂

Politically my ear is always to the ground but that was nothing only an educated guess, Dara not getting a ministry was a major surprise, was always likely that he’d be first man off the bench, i really should start betting on my hunches, shouldn’t I?
