True Steve and that would considerably lower the maximum number of times you can open it too, so from 200,000 to 100 if it opens at all

If it stopped screen smashes it would be worth it but clearly it doesn't with all the issues

the only reason i would buy this phone would be if i dropped it , it would be damaged

Ye are missing the whole point lads,it doesn't matter if it breaks or not,and the screen is plastic by the way so that's not an issue,it's the first generation of something that we all will have in our pockets in a few years,ye are missing the whole picture completely. If ye don't want one then nobody is making you buy one, I,on the other hand cannot wait to get mine. Try looking at unbox therapy on YouTube, who hasn't managed to break his and just see how important this piece of kit is going to be in the future. Do not knock something just because you can't afford it FFS.

Not knocking it cause I can’t afford it, not at all. My phone is around the same pricepoint if not the same price point. But I do not get the point of having a phone like that. I’m sorry I don’t see it. It’s the same size as a small tablet and nowadays most people already have a smartphone and a tablet. Just doesn’t make any difference to me. Maybe I’m getting older and don’t feel the need to have as many gadgets as i used to when I was younger.

The fact that it also has a lifespan attached to it is not so convenient either. At least to me. But Each to their own taste you cannot dictate on that. Hope you’ll be very satisfied of it when you get your hands on it x

That's a reply from someone who can't afford it,and also cannot see how significant it is in the future of technology. You will disagree with me now because you can't see what the future is going to be,but you probably done the same when the first iPhone was announced,it's an investment in the future,it's not just about spending 2k on a phone. An unused 1st gen iPhone is worth about three grand at the minute, first gen folding phone will follow that trend. Like I said,if you can't afford it then don't let it bother you.

Nina? Can I ask what phone you are using to be around the same price point as the most expensive phone ever?

Ok,you're not the fan of gadgets that you were when you were younger, that's understandable,I still love them and hopefully always will
It's not about the phone at all,it's the fact that it's a folding screen, nobody needs one,but I always have a tablet,a phone and a laptop with me for work. Is it wrong to assume in the future that one device can replace all three of them? The more first generation ones are sold then the cheaper they will become,we all said the same thing when we got our first mobile phones didn't we? I'm just glad I can make a contribution to the next generation of phones. I've also ordered one of the new Motorola RAZR phones🙈it's not out for month's,but I get on with my local Vodafone dealer🤣
And the renders of that phone are just sooooooooo cool!!

iPhone XS Max a big phone, still the same price point as the new Samsung and before you say that I’m an iPhone fan I also have a Samsung ))

As I said to me it wouldn’t be practical and all but for others it may be the next best thing. Not trying to ruin it for you or anyone else who wishes to buy it. I hope they fix that glitch though with the screen.

I can't disagree with you there Nina,I have the iPhone X's max as well, and the Samsung S10,both are brilliant, but even the X's Max is almost 800 euro cheaper than the new fold is gonna be😱
