Default Bondage: to tie or be tied up?

Is it better to be tied up or to be the one doing the tying?

    You tell me.

I don't mind tying someone up, but given the choice, I prefer to be the one being tied up.

Do you have much experience with using bondage for total submission?

Also being tied up, ur handing over control to partner which shows incrediable trust in that person so the whole experience can be very intimate if ur willing to go with the flow. Being tied blindfolded and gagged with a lady u trust can lead to much pleasure [a little pain maybe]

I am one for taking control, I am not a fan of being tied up, I get frustrated and anxious.

Always use an experienced dom for bdsm who uses safe words and knows ur limits, one persons limits maybe just being tied with some spanking and nipple play, some of the more experienced players are into strapon needle play breath play and soundings so experience is crucial for these

Sound advice there! For some things I'm comfortable exploring with friends, but when I want to try more extreme areas of BDSM, it's better to see a professional who knows what they are doing

Then you get the plot of Gerald's Game.

In all seriousness, the chances of that happening aren't huge, but something that can put minds at ease is to ensure there is an easy release in the tie. It makes it quick to get out, so in an emergency it could be used.
