for example I rather pay a bit extra and give a bigger tip because I know that the waiter will welcome me with a smile next time I visit.
I am not that kind of self entitled haggler, would not feel good if I haggled for example a tenner of 100 price and them had to pay with two notes of 50.

and besides if you have got money at your disposal maybe you want to pay double, only because you wish to show the appreciation, not because of the price tag.
let's forget the main topic and allow me a digression:
I have a friend who never buys on sales, she prefers to buy a LV bag and pay for it full price because otherwise she would feel the goods are "damaged or of a lower quality". true story.
myself I love sales.
luckily we are all different people.
there is something there for everyone.
at the same time we can observe our differences, thanks to them have an interesting meaningful conversation, but under no means be at each other throats.
I like meeting people of different opinions because that is how I learn, different points of view enriches my personality.
