As I understand it from a few news articles I read about this, the hackers actually released an accompanying statement with their release of the list of men's names, claiming that they decided to expose not only the men who were seeking to cheat, but the website itself, citing their belief that the majority of women's profiles were fake, thus essentially rendering the site little more than a scam anyway.
