Nico Rosberg joins an elite group by completing a hat-trick of Monaco GP wins.
Lewis Hamilton loses out by an unfortunate pit stop just before the safety car appeared.

Monaco is the prestigious Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton had it won but for his team’s mistake.

Three in a row for Nico Rosberg. And for Mercedes
The only other driver to win three in a row was Ayrton Senna
Even winning three puts Nico Rosberg in a special league. Only six men have won three or more Monaco Grands Prix. And their names are legends. Ayrton Senna , Graham Hill, Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost , Stirling Moss and Jackie Stewart .

Lewis Hamilton last won Monaco in 2008. That is the only Monaco he has won.

Hamilton is more deserving than Rosberg but neither belongs on a list with the greats you have mentioned.
I sincerely hope that in the not to distant future the powers that be cop on and realise that lapping 4-10 seconds off the pace set a decade ago doesn't even constitute F1 and discreetly wipe the last two years from the record books!

Fernando Alonso may also possibly retire and enter some other form of racing. Although considered by many to be probably the best in the world, the way his luck has fallen, it looks unlikely he will ever win another Formula One race.
