Some women (probably a lot) are attracted to males with status or power. It's in their genetics to do so.
If they become a 'consort' of one such, some of that status and power and possibly material wealth can be conferred on them and on any potential offspring.

I guess some women likes their man extremely mean and egoistic? In fairness his facelift was done pretty well according to the pictures published above. If the surgeon didn't do less then perfect job he might to end up in Gulag, or having served a tea with Polonium ( if not Russian citizen). This man is highly dangerous.
