Ah, the road tax chestnut. So you're admitting to paying no more than €88 per year as an even more despised road user class (motorbike riders), when you would probably find that a large portion of cyclists ALSO own cars and pay road tax like everyone else.
But sure, in efforts of public order and efficiency, public health, take them all off their bikes and put them in cars. I can't see that causing any problems....

There's no excuse for cyclists acting the bollocks, but they are a particularly vulnerable group of road users! These laws need to be used with common sense!

Agree, COMMON SENSE. bur gardai go for the simplecases. Like the young cyclist cycling through a red pediastrian light, when NO One was on the crossing. The garda was just standing their prosecuting cyclist after cyclist. This was in Rathmines.
Thats how gardai loose respect.
