Like, what kind of places? A special sealed air-controlled room? I don't mean to be a dick, just curious. I would imagine something like that with a forced circulation system would be expensive.
As someone who travels a lot (and is a nonsmoker) I do have to say nothing grinds my gears more than finally getting into my hotel room just to find out the previous occupant was a smoker. Again not trying to be a dick, but honestly yes I think nonsmokers rights to be free of lung cancer are more important than smokers rights to be comfy while they smoke.
Now if such a room with an air circulation system was paid for from higher taxes on smoking products, that would be a fair compromise.

I could say anything that keeps you away from the wind and rain.Sure places like hotels, pubs or clubs would win more happy clients if they do that.
It's all about business.
I suppose that person who was before you did not like to go outside on a bad weather to have a smoke and decided to smoke inside.I do not agree either way and smoking rooms/places sounds even better for both parties.
I am a smoker but I hate smoking in the room I sleep so I understand your annoyence regarding hotel rooms.
Free lung cancer vs TBC,lots of visits to the doctor ... (don't shoot me )
