Gifts are discretionary and is dependent on how you feel about a particular appointment. Recently, I went to visit Alice (first time to meet her) and brought a bouquet of pink roses. I did my homework and knew she loved roses. She had put alot of effort into setting up our appointment and this small gesture was to let her know that I appreciated what she had done. The look on her face when she opened the door to see me standing with this bouquet said it all and we were off to a wonderful start.

As long as it's not raw industrial alcohol it's probably harmless.

I suffer from the debilitating male sickness of "not having a bloody clue disease" - I am a known severe sufferer of this, so ladies with me there is no problem in letting me know what you like or don't like - otherwise you are going to have to put a brave face on when I walk through the door with a bag of chips and a battered sausage.
