Mix it up! Instead of long boring gym sessions, do 20 minute bike rides and jogs and raquet sports and swims and rows and paddles and lots of different work outs. It works for me.

Some people make mistake first they loose weight until they became very skinny after they try to lift weight .

The main thing is to get active. Walking, cycling, swimming, etc. are things everyone can do and are relatively cheap. It might be a waste of money to sign up for a gym and fall off half-way through...

If your in it for fitness then I would agree with mer that running outdoors is much better

But if your weightlifting then join a good gym (not a hotel gym) and make sure they dont have smith...

I won't claim to be a gym bunny, but it is my preferred method of exercise these days. Used to play team sports but that died out once I started working life a I didn't have the time to keep it up....
