"Live for nothing or die for something, your call."
Yeah, I read about that in the paper the other day. I'm not buying it, to be honest.
ET is alive and well and can be seen regularly in Coronation Street masquerading as Gail McIntyre

Got to be a hoax, methinks. They invariably are.
The galaxy is not teeming with life like in Star Trek or Star Wars. The Earth is, but the Earth is an oasis in a vast, empty desert of nothingness.
I disagree, mousey. The sheer number of planets that there statistically are means the likelihood of us being alone is minimal. Aliens travelling here though? Unlikely. Intergalactic travel is really impractical due to the sheer timeframes involved.
Not so headlad. They are working on being able to go through worm holes.
Space being curved and all that means that it is possible, just not in our lifetime.
I do agree that the sheer volume of planets measn there should be life on some of them. Take the newly exoplantes such as Glise, an earth like planet with the capability to support life.
If you look closer at our own solar system then you come to the Jupiter moon of Iwo? which is believed to have under ice seas which are heated by core activity due to the Gravity being pulled by the planer which through friction heats up teh core.
There should be life out there somewhere

Well, Europa, but yep. They reckon its quite possible for life with no sunlight down there, just look at our own deep oceans. Now, if they were to find life there, the likelihood of life elsewhere increases dramatically. It's resilient stuff, life. Considering some of the environments where it survives on earth, it could be very abundant. Still haven't ruled out underground life on mars.
Regarding the travel, I was kinda basing it on current possibilities of sub light speed travel. Still not convinced about the wormhole theories, to be honest. From my point of view, say vega has planets. To travel there, it being a close neighbour, at even 90% light speed would take 30 years. And of course, our craft right now would take 100 times that. I'd love to see some advances in tech, but for now I hope they get the Europa mission off the ground.
Yeah Europa sorry. I know its unfeesible at the moment to travel long distances but not impossible. Wormholes is only one theory I'm sure there are more which are ferrsible. The main problem is the weight to fuel ratio. But they are thinking solar st the moment which could solve that problem. Again we are a long way off.
As regards life. Our solar system us quite young so the possibility of intelligent and advanced life is still possible if not certain.
