Fort Lauderdale is only one in a growing number of cities that have passed legislation targeting the homeless. With the harsh American winters a lot of these people have been moving south to places where the streets are warmer so that's where most of these laws are being enacted. There's not enough attention given to how many of this new breed of homeless are veterans either, where's all that great patriotic support for the troops when they need it the most?

No, they don't actually stop people feeding the homeless, what they do is make it only legal to feed the homeless in designated areas. Unfortunately for the homeless these areas are far away from the downtown areas, it's just another method to ship a problem out of a specific area into another, then once it's there their city looks pretty again as there are no homeless hanging around.
