I think people are attracted to others who look like themselves but when it comes to personalities I don't think it works out. Too many clashes, too many sparks and not of the right kind. Is this your experience or not ?

I had a conversation with a lady who I consider to be beautiful and she said that she does not go for handsome men, as you can't trust them. I think that is more to to with attainability, as in all guys have it in them to stray, but if he is good looking too, he's going to have more opportunity. Interesting concept.

Personally, I don't like to put people in boxes and where initial physical attraction used to be the priority for me, it seems to have changed to mental attraction now. I'm not sure if that is an age thing

From experience i dont think its true, when i am out and see good looking girls they usually turn and walk the opposite direction to me.

I'm recently divorced and both my ex and most recent gf were very like me personality-wise -- quite introverted and not particularly confident. That didn't work out.

When I go back on the dating scene, I'm going to be looking for an opposite -- someone who is more aggressive, outgoing and motivated. So I'm banking on the opposites attract and work long term idea. I'll get back to you in a few years and let you know how it's working out.

I think youre right, it needs to be opposites; one to pull the other out of a bad patch/thought and also one a dom one a sub or otherwise if both doms then lots fights arguements and...'territory/boundaries' rows and if both submissives they wouldnt ever make a decision to get things done. someone, and only one has to wear the trousers for the relationship to work longer term

I was thinking the last while...maybe year? about what attracts me about a girls looks (non escorts mostly) and I find it amazing the common features they all have (the not so obvious ones I mean ) there is actually a strong thread running through say the top 20/50+ favourite women I have ever seen/met (real life, media entertainment ect) and I can now tell nearly if I see certain features of one area of her she will have a certain........standard (my word for set in this case) of look based on experience without seeing the rest of her...until later and I prove myself right
