    Default HIV home test - A welcome development?

    Will the benefits undoubtedly gained by those embarrassed by / unable to present(ing) themselves at a STI/STD clinic of this outweigh any (if any) potential negatives?

    To be honest, if people can test themselves, it might lead to an increase in people willing to do something about their STI(s), should they have one. As for HIV, a test would obviously push the person to get a proper test and try to come to terms with it, not to mention starting treatment as early as possible.

    I think it's a great idea!
