I've travelled around Europe quite a bit and have found that the lack of the native language not a problem.English is fast becoming the language Europe.A Swede will converse with an Italian in English.

Glad you're having a good time in Amsterdam, don't know if you like art but the Rijksmuseum is a great place to visit.Rembrandt's The Night Watch is there.Try and watch a movie called Nightwatching first as the painting holds many symbolic meanings and the movie tries to uncover these.There's a few Vermeers there as well.I really enjoyed the gallery.The Van Gogh museum is worth a visit too.

English is more than enough here. So with my experience in Ireland works great ! People are used to escorts ... and it is easier to meet them. Most of the escorts don't' speak any language, so i have an advantage, and it helps A LOT
