An Garda Siochana-gaurdians of the peace. i presume this
dates back to the birth of the state etc.

what peace, we regularily see young men shot dead with firearms because
of the blackmarket in substances deemed illicit. Chicago tried that in the
20's with alcohol and it did not work, similar shoot outs. 'gang related', 'drug related'
are the terms used to explain, oh, thats ok then.

they didn't want headshops and rushed in draconian, undebated law based
on little more than societal hysteria. i'll bet the street dealers applauded that decision
after they had ordered some new luxury vehicles. it's time to think outside of the box.
prohibition is serving the suppliers.
