Liverpool - Suggestions?

I'm going to be visiting Liverpool in April for a soccer match, and was looking for some options for extra-curricular activities.

Does anyone know of any good strip clubs or ***edited out*** that would be worth visiting?

As regards the nightlife, it seems that Concert Square is the recommended area to go, from what I hear.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I can't really comment on the sex industry in Liverpool, but if you like live bands in the pubs, go around Mathew Street. You have Lennon's Bar, The Cavern Pub and of course, the world famous Cavern Club, birthplace of The Beatles

Thanks for the replies lads. Will definitely head to Mathew Street based on those tips. It would be a shame to go to Liverpool and not pay a visit to the Cavern!

In that little area, there is also the '80's Bar' and an Irish pub that has a live Irish band on the go in the basement. It's very good

Matthew Street,,,,Flanagans Apple is the Irish Pub.....always good for a laugh and a lady. Angels is a good lapdancing club. Its not far from Matthew Street. not been there for a few years but used to be £10 in and £5 per dance.

Hmm, near the docks? That sounds incredibly dodgy

Thanks for tip though, I will check those sources also. Probably won't end up using anything more than a strip club. But always worth keeping the options open.

Flanagans pub is fantastic all right. The brothel scene is not good at all and best avoided. Try adultworks for an independent escort or google escorts Liverpool and use an agency. Not a patch on Manchester where there are 80+ massage parlors! Good Luck!
PS dont take a taxi to the oil st place mentioned as 20 stg is added to your fee for the driver(he hangs around to see you in safely-Yeah right!)
