    Default Increased Airline Costs

The new Carbon permit which Airlines landing in European airports will have to pay could mean the knock on
effect of adding 12 euro to a ticket for passengers. It will cost the airlines about 9 billion a year
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

You are right. In fact all transport costs are going up in general, the carbon tax of 5 pc was introduced last year and I think a further 2 pc in this years budget. There will be some airlines even going bust over this. More monopolies too like b4.

The US carriers are up in arms over this, understandably complaining that the tax on flights in Europe ( from eg.g. N.America) will attract a carbon tax on the entire journey ( & not just that in Eur airspace). Not so sure airlines will go broke over this- all of them will be hit equally- so you know who'll get hosed here!!

Is this a tradeable permit thing, or else a tax? Any URL link here to the story, cheers.

The increasing waistlines of passengers in general must be costing more as well.

Maybe the ConservativeDailyNews may have heard of this new innovation called "container ships", it's how the vast majority of stuff gets shipped around in our world

Smells like an AEI-planted "story", aimed at a US domestic audience.

This carbon tax hits everything not just the airlines but all forms of transport your car as well as trucks which ultimataly puts up every thing, and it doesnt end with transport it also effects energy production so esb costs will rise as will the cost of keeping yourself warm and cosey as it hits heating oil as well. Its a joke when the rest of the world carries on as normal and as usual the E.U screws us over in the name of saving the planet.

Em- yeah! Like everything printed on that site it's aimed squarely at an American audience & context , I merely provided the link as a starting point so you could start spoon feeding yourself.. but that doesn't make the story false e.g.

Bob- not everything is a conspiracy theory just because you don't like the angle a media outlet takes on it! LOL

No need for "conspiracy theory". There's even a name for it - churnalism. Modern assembly-line journalism leaves no time for checking facts, so any old garbage that gets faxed in by lobbyists gets published.

    "Simples".
