I have lots of male friends who are only friends.

They are 99 percent gay though or partners to my girlfriends. I think my age probably factors in on the fact that a male/female friendship is difficult.

Maybe a stupid question but anyway, do you think a man can really be friends with a girl, or does he always have a

motive. I meet a girl in the last few months that I am attracted to, we flirted a bit but nothing really happened. I think

maybe there was a wee thing there but nothing more. I liked her to the point that I thought if I shag her I might lose her

as a friend, which I did not want to happen. We talk and laugh and get on. I like her because I don't really have any female

friends I can tell her things that I can't tell my male friends, and she also tells me things in confidence. I do like the

attention I get from her and she is quite sexy.If she let me shag her just once I would, but only if were still friends .

I've had a few chances already that we have been alone and I could have tried my luck but I didn't as I did not want to

fcuk things up. So am I kidding myself that I can really be friends with this girl or not?

Paul ofcourse u can be friends!Sometimes a women and a guy could be better friends then guys with guys/women with women....u can both help eachoder understand better ure opposite sex but could hurth u as well if u have some feelings for her and feelings wich are not really friendly...than it could be painful for u...maybe not!Who knows?!Good luck is all i can say

Message to the OP, if you want to sleep with her then forget being friends, it will make life difficult. On the other hand, iff you are going to give the relationship a go, then forget about sex and try to get to know her more! She's a lady you know!!!

Some guys might be able to get away with this but I would guess modt guys are always aware of the sexual attraction ( if it exists obviously ) and if he fancies her, the more he gets to know her the more difficult it will get. At the end of the day, it just doesnt work for guys !

thanks for the replies, nah I won't try and shag her maybe if I tried she would turn me down anyway, but I think I have found a new friend, I am in my 30's and I am losing most of my friends these days to immigration, gf's wifes etc. so it's hard to find new friends. So I am happy enough to have made a friend.

I kind of wanted to hear what the females thought, as in are men only after one thing. As one poster said he has alot of female friends and has impure thoughts about them all I have impure thoughts about practically every women I meet
