Just because its right for you; Does that automatically imply that it will be right for everyone, without contradiction, if's, but's or maybe's?
If the answer is no, what you have to accept is that there is nothing in this world or the next, which is truly right or good except a good will or intention and the road to hell is paved with good intentions...

There's a great tv show caledd 'Intervention' that I'm sure if you watched about 4 hours of its programming , you woudn't have the same view towards legalizung it; it's the least of society's problems.

illegal or not i still smoke weed
not trying to brag or act a hard man but weed is very easy to buy, as most of you probably know already, i'm 19 years old in college at the moment
and to be honest i have loads of mates who sell half ounces or an ounce and even know people who grow it
i walk around sometimes smoking it just for a little buzz, does be gas when i feel like im about to fall
the garda dont do anything when they see you smoke it,
the 1 time i actually almost got arrested for it was when i was 16 and had half a kilo in my bag of green , garda car stops me checks it, takes it gives me a warning then drives off
to be honest i think he smoked it cause he was smiling as he drove off haha
so i cant see any reason why it shouldnt be legal except there should of course be rules if it was legal, like no consumption in public places or a person is not aloud carry more then a quarter ounce.
but i agree with the op

Yep, everybody here at least knows somebody who smokes it. 99% of the people I know smoked it and the other 1% wouldnt surprise me if they did too.

What a stoner... Why do stoners have such a hard time accepting that it's illegal?
I love weed - I've grown it and I have smoked the living shit out of the weed, but that doesn't make the case to legalise it. Any one who carries a bag of weed in a place where the cops will find it, deserves to be put away. It's like driving through the streets with a woman bound and gagged in the back seat - you just don't it.
I think I'm pretty well qualified through benefit of copious consumption, to say that the legislation exists to protect.......Um What was I talking about?

And why shouldnt it be legalised, alcohol and tobbaco kille more ppl every year than cannabis,
its like this people who smoke weed sit in listen to music, watch dvds, or play games.
thugs out drinking end up raping, knifing ppl stealing cars or burgling houses or worse committing murder.
stats would show that 8 outa 10 of these crimes are people who hav consumed alcohol.

I used smoke myself but ended up getting paranoid as fuck. Thought I was becoming schizophrenic. Though even with that I'd still say legalise it. I decided to quit and had no trouble quitting as even any drugs counsellor will tell you it's not a physically addictive substance.
Most of the reasons people would use to keep it criminalised are in direct correlation to it being illegal. Gateway drug, drug money funding gangs and violence due to said money all due to where we get the drug. I would say that maybe it should have an older age limit then 18 though.
At the end of the day though the main point is we're all grown adults here and should have the option to smoke or not smoke ourselves if there's no across the board reason to ban it

peoples point of view changes. in 1971 a train from Belfast was met
in Dublin by the customs, the women on board had purchased products
that could be helpful with family planning, illegal in southern Ireland at that time.

don't get me wrong, drugs are not harmless and all would have addictive properties,
just as the legal drugs do. but they are going on and growing in use, regardless of prohibition-
just with a high harm model.

i note Richard Branson is influencial here, the megastore in Dublin was fined £500
for selling some condoms in 1978.

Paranoid is how I feel when I smoke, and so I don't really smoke; through the years I've tried, but up until a couple of years ago paranoia was my high:mad, so I can truthfully take it or leave it, but still see no wrong in legalizing it.
