There are two people that I hold very dear that happen to be Romanian, and boy do I hate that fact!!

I can understand from an Irish (or any European country for that matter) point of view that there may be some problems with Romanians, and Ireland has one of the most strict policies on Romanians trying to work here, it's almost ridiculous and stinks of discrimination/racism. If you don't know about it, go look it up and be shocked. I thought the Nordic countries were strict on that, but hell, even they make exceptions for members of the EU!

Want to work in Ireland as a Romanian? Get a fake ID that states you're from Italy or something, or else it's nearly impossible.

But I'm astonished that in a world that is so free of borders and boundaries these days, that Romanians are still branded as untrustworthy, criminal. Is it because of the possible mafia connections and human trafficking?

Gotta hate Italy too then, but there's not a problem with them, is there? Gypsy's and beggars... like there are no Irish beggars.

That's the unfair part of the media: an Irish robs somebody? Check the tiny message on page 38. A Romanian does that? Front page, full color and big pictures.

Not hard to create a bad image then...


To answer to the question: I value more the presence of brains in the head than the presence of 'Romanian' on the ID.

Just out of curiosity, I search for Romanian escorts in Dublin. It seems there aren't any. The nearest Romanian escort is in Cork. There are only two in the whole country.

But I agree any I've come across have been excellent. I believe some of the very best escorts in Ireland are Romanian but they conceal it for obvious reasons.

Anyway the vast majority of escorts lie about their country mainly for privacy reasons, apart from UK of course as the accent is a giveaway.

Theres quite a big Romanian community here in Ireland so pressumably alot of the girls for their own privacy would want to advertise under a different nationality!!!
Also in my experience there are still quite a few people who are extremely uneducated when it comes to Romanians and assume they are all gypsies which is not the case at all,to avoid any discrimination etc they probably feel life will be easier if they dont let on they are Romanian.

Having said that, Romania has it's problems with organised crime and trafficking and for that reason I would have concerns about the independence of escorts from that country working here. I think it is a more "macho" type of culture than we have here, and I would'nt hold the men in the same high regard as I hold their women.

I answer to your question - if a girl advertised as Romanian, it wouldn't in any way deter me from seeing her. In fact it would probably bias me in favour of seeing her, as I've been with many Romanian escorts (most advertising as something else) - and they've all been lovely and have been some of the most gorgeous women I've seen.

So why wouldn't a girl advertise as Romanian? Well for all the reasons mentioned by the distguished gentlemen above:

1) For anonymity. Most girls fudge their country of origin to protect their identity. I think this is a completely resonable thing to do.

2) There are ignorant people in Ireland who do not distinguish Romanian people from Romanese gypsies.

3) There is a significant Romanian community in Ireland. And a girl can never be too careful.

4) There is definitely organised crime in Romania and those sucm bags are likely to try to exploit Romanian girls abroad if they were known to be Romanian.

People's prejudices never cease to amaze me, i mean im far from morally perfect myself but how people say any nationality, race etc are inferior in any way I will never understand.

Whilst we're on things Romanian, check out the movie '4 months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days' about a couple of girls involved with an abortion in Romania, imo one of the most intelligent and engrossing movies made ever, sub-titled or not.
