They have there beliefs and I would say that they dont come to the decesion lightly

JW believe that the blood is a gift from God and as such your own blood is holey (came from Judiaism) and to use some one elses blood in your body is an abommination.

Circumcisson is a practice not just Judisim but a lot of places uses it as cultural practice
In fact many non Jews in Ireland underwent the proceedure not long ago as it was the done thing

Richard Dawkins isnt really that good.He just argues against it never wanting to accept that it might be right.

Your right that the only belief should eb self belief
I appreciate what you're saying Doozer, but as the majority of religious people are practising religions they've been born into and raised within I can't say I agree. They haven't had the chance to make the choice as independant free thinking adults. They've been brainwashed into thinking that circumcision/not accepting blood etc is acceptable. Surely any higher power would value life.
Refusing blood to a person who'd die if they didn't receive it is not acceptable. By sitting back and not saying anything we're condoning what is essentially morally wrong imo. Life is more important than someones interpretation of a book written by unknown persons many moons ago - to control people.
He felt her hands slide slowly up his thigh, he couldn't stop himself from growing hard. She caught his eye and in that second he knew: This erotic, sensual Lady is bold if she is anything. She would be upto mischief in no time...

I agree with your argument Alex. However your only looking at it from the outside looking in. Yes you are correct with religous choice being more Geography rather than Theology. It can be very hard to uncondition yourself from Laws rules and practicies that you grew up with, especailly if you think the Western World or those outside your religeous belifes are wrong and are difiling themselves and others around them,

Considering a lot of religeons are underthreat from science and free thinkers, who have lost their faith in God and continue to do things that they desire rather than what their relegion has thought them. They see everyone like that as an outgroup and will have their own biases around them. They will see the outgroup as inferior and all that is wrong in society, This alone will strengthen their own relious practices

My thoughts on this topic is that we all have a different perspective of life and personally, I respect the faith of others and would never impose/persaude anyone else's approaches to religion. It's a matter of preference and belief.

Google "Westboro baptist church" then come back to me about respecting the faith of others.

I'll not bother actually. I'm not one to impose on this matter.

Football doesn't preach hatred, religion does.

I beg to differ. People kick the crap out of each other because of the colour of a shirt. I err away from football for the same reason. I don't dislike someone because of a football strip, just as I don't dislike someone for having faith that I don't believe in.
