It must depend on your age and point of view of porn.
When I was in my teens, 20's and perhaps even in my 30's, I always loved to look at porn.
Now I'm in my 40's I still enjoy the visual aspect of porn but would never go out of my way to find it.
Porn for me is only a simplistic illusion of beauty, its the person however that shows the true beauty of the individual and their true sexuality.
Do I watch porn now?
Never!
Personally I think myself more grown up and find the personal encounters much more satisying than simple graphic illusions and images of what could be.
I have watched porn in the past, but always left me feeling empty so don't bother anymore. I enjoy the real thing!

I think women view porn very differently to men. Most porn is geared/made for men's fantasies (not women's). So I suspect most women will not have the same obsession with it as men.

Appreciate your opinion as always Lucy.
However, there is a spectrum to porn, ranging from softcore(playboy style - solo girls stripping etc), to hardcore , to fetish , to outright sadistic.
I don't think its fair to taint the whole industry with the same brush. However, I do take your points above. But men and women do view porn differently.
I actually learned how to go down on a girl by watching lesbian porn (I know its lipstick lesbian fake stuff for us silly men) - but it certainly taught me a thing or two, watching how a girl would do it to a fellow woman. Afterall women know best how they want to be pleasured. So even from a female perspective there might be that tiniest of benefits to porn?
